Blesses of Maha Periyava

35 years back I was living in a place called SATARA in Maharashtra where MahaPeriyava was camping during 1979-80. I was working as a Booking Clerk in the Railway Station and was provided with a quarters to live in. My wife was in the family way and for the reasons best known to us, we decided to stay there only for the delivery. Her maternal grandmother who was around 75 years of age,somehow managed to come over there to assist us. 

There were no hospital facilities nearby and we were to travel more than 7 kms to the city.The city buses used to ply according to train  timings only and there were no much Auto rickshaws those days. A fortnight prior to the anticipated date of delivery, once she had a pain and got hospitalized and discharged. Then we went and had Dharsan of MahaPeriyava. MahaPeriyava blessed us saying that "It was a false pain and she would face a normal delivery". Periyava also assured that Periyava will arrange for a "Sastrigal" for "Punyavachanam" day.

Accordingly on 15th September (a little  while after midnight of 14th),my wife had the pains and we both came and stood at the bus stop in search of a transport,leaving behind her old grand ma at home. For a reasonable time there was no sign of any transport and darkness only prevailed there. We two alone were standing there. Thought of Periyava and other Gods were appearing in the vision and moving.  All of a sudden we saw a lorry was approaching fast towards the city and the driver on seeing my waving hand stopped. Luckily he agreed and accommodated my wife in the cabin and I was to occupy a standing position at the rear. Thus we got transported to the Aryangal Hospital.

Every thing went on well. My wife had normal delivery and we were back home safe. Then 8 days later I went to Periyava's camp and informed Periyava through Sri. Balan. MahaPeriyava arranged a Sastrigal for "Punyavachanam" as blessed earlier. Then to my astonishment, a devotee, by name "Neela Subramaniam" from Bombay came to my house as directed by MahaPeriyava to attend  the naming ceremony, with a message that I should name my son as "Swaminathan",since the birth star is also "Anusham" as of MahaPeriyava and that was the name of MahaPeriyava in His previous "Ashrama".  To day is the Birth day of my son.(15-09-1980)
