WIFE,SON AND MASTER BATHROOM.

Preface:
"Why varalotti alone  publishes in the Face book and why can't we also try something" it flashed in me last night, when I didn't get sleep.  Of course,it is too much to think like that. He is having amazing knowledge, vocabulary and writing is very spontaneous, besides his having 4 digits friends on Face book. But mind is not in our control and so I made this first (perhaps may be final also) attempt.  Hope he will forgive me.

We  moved into the new apartment and my son couldn't come for shifting, for one reason or the other.  Almost all things were repacked and arranged as planned. We had dinner and sat in the "Balcony" for a while.

"See,we can use the Master Bed Room, since we put the cot there.  But don't act smart for using the "Master Bath room" attached to it.  The apartment  is purchased by our son and it is meant for him and his family.  We can use only the other one which is common and Indian"
My wife gave me serious instruction.  I simply nodded with an unwarranted smile which I practiced, after my retirement.  There was no provision for her to lock the room from outside lest she would have done that also as a precaution.  The instruction was followed carefully.

"Dad,I couldn't get neither leave nor reservation;I got  ticket by "KPN" travels on this night and will return by "RockFort Express" on Sunday night" my son told me on a Saturday afternoon.

My wife started preparations for his arrival.  she opened the Master Bath Room and had a survey.
"Please bring the stick and clear the "cobwebs" on all the four corners" My wife shouted.  Just then only, I got my net connection and was busy with making comments on Sridharji's posting.  I deserted it half way and entered the room half minded.

I tried to bolt the door from inside and the tower bolt was not fitting properly.  I wanted to check all the fittings.  When I opened and closed the hand wash tube, water started leaking from it's mouth even after closure.  The pipe on the wash basin was rotating at 180 degrees on opening.

My wife was out of moods." Go and get the building supervisor" she shouted.  It was already Saturday evening and none were available except security, who said I have to wait till Monday.  "what to do now" My wife started kneading her hands.

"Sorry,Dad,my boss is alighting at Chennai,on his way to Tirupathi and I have to stay back" my son told me at 10 p.m.

"Oh,God,You saved me this time" my wife had a relief.

Monday morning sharp at 7.30 a.m,  I informed the supervisor and he sent all the artisans to attend.  Things were settled.

"You performed house warming somewhere in February and till now the bath room is not in use. Unless you make use of it,it won't work nice."

All the artisans told us in a stereo type manner and my wife looked at me for my usual smile.

Moral:"A coin has one more side" for my wife.

Some 28 years back we sent our only son to a kids class at Hubli which was conducted in a small temple, with a 2 hours session of each day.  She used to wait at the parapet of the building, from where she can watch him, while rest of the mothers used to leave their wards and come back for picking up at the right time.  When he got his admission for I st standard at Kendriya Vidyalaya, which was some 7 kms from home and have to go by bus,she used to wait at the bus stop to receive, for more than half an hour, in spite of the bus stop was just in front of our house and can be watched over window, when he gets down.

When my son was in class ix,he joined NCC and they arranged 5 days camp in the outskirts of Trichy.  He spent one night there and the next day myself and my wife went there to just see, what was going on. All children were moving in a queue holding their plates for breakfast and she was unable to tolerate to view the scene.  She went to the Course in charge, showed him some red spots on the face of my son(may be mosquito bites in the camp),said he is having chicken pox and she wanted to take him back home.  He was helpless and sent him home.

In 1998, we got admission for him in BITS/PILANI, which is more than 1000kms  away and not within easy reach. We stayed with him for a couple of days.  When he came to see us off in the bus stand, my wife was literally crying and I could not control her. On arrival at New Delhi station, she wanted me to connect my son from STD BOOTH.  When he came on line there was only cry from her and nothing she spoke. The co-passengers of 2AC Sleeper, of Tamil Nadu express were eager to know why my wife was sobbing and I was to explain them. This continued till we reached Chennai.

During 1979-80s I was working as a booking clerk in Railways in a place called "Satara" in Maharashtra
, where Kanchi MahaPeriyava had camped for a year or so.  I was having shift duties of one week day and one week night. Mostly Tamilians from Bombay coming for "Dharsan" won't find difficulties to reach the camp since they were knowing Hindi or Marathi.  The camp was in the city which is 7 kms from station.  The Auto Drivers were knowing only Marathi to speak.  Devotees from South used to suffer, especially those who arrived at night times.  They would like to have "Visva Rupa Dharsan" of Maha Periyava which may be any time in between 3 a.m. to 5 a.m.
So, I used to have adjustments with my colleagues and remain continuously on night duties.  So on arrival of every train,I used to identify our men, make bargains with Autowalas and see them reaching the destination correctly.(No cell phones those days.  All were strangers to me.  During day hours I would be at the exit point to guide them, since my quarters was by the side of the station.  Everybody was appreciating my selfless service and it went to such an extent that Periyava used to ask Devotees " ரயில்வே சந்திர சேகரன் அனுப்பினானா ? "

Why I say this in this context is "Helping a stranger has a greater value in mankind".  When my wife gave birth to my son Maha Periyava sent a Sastrighal to my house to perform "Punyavachanam"

MY FEELINGS ON THE BOOK “LOVE ALL”

To broach with the above issue, I am after all a layman not fit to comment on the above issue Authored by great stalwart writer Sri. Varalotti Rengasamy. Though the word “comment” is broadly used in the Face Book Culture, that term can’t be used here. Hence I call it as “MY FEELINGS ON THE BOOK “. Hope I am justified.

Unlike reading other books in general, I kept a scribbling pad and pencil, when I commenced on the very first day, duly the important items best known with page number and all and finally when completed reading I found my scribbling pad had more contents than the original book. Then, it became very difficult task for me to filter umpteen times to bring the feelings in a nutshell.

In fact the Author has assumed the role of Spiritual Moderator of the Forum, presently like Arvind’s role and he is also a good counselor. At times I was wondering whether, he is Balakumaran, Sujatha, Rajeshkumar or swami Sukabodhanda. Oh a Mixture of all. That is one can find all navarasm in the novel. You can’t it a novel; it is Bhagavad Geetha, Bible or kuran.

See how he describes the Income-Tax department. “None of its honest officers were efficient. And none of its efficient officers were honest”. Prathi describing the present day life of Software People in the U.S. is a real thing. (page.24)

The menu and the preparation of “mini-podi-adai” shows his expertise in cookery (page31).

“Only after the Western Culture invaded us, everything here has become commercialized. Medicine and education has now become big time business in India” True words (page69)

Though many of us know the story of Sridhara Ayyawal, to read the same from Sridharji gives us immense pleasure; the spontaneous way he explains speaks about his profound knowledge he has on the subject. (page88). Similarly “Adi Sankara” and “Ananda Giri”, the “Thodakashtakam”, the story of “Pundarika”(page142),Comparison of Sridhara Ayyaval story to that of a parable in the Bible(page148) the story of Sundaramurthy Nayanar(page215)…..are all very nice.

Government subsidizing industries and our subsidizing our children and the latent profit earned there of, well explained, which cannot be understood by person of ordinary prudence. (page182)

Tossing a coin and the probability of heads and tails linked with sale of lottery tickets shows his expertise not only as accounts man but also a great mathematician.

The later part of the story deals with detective type, investigations and I don’t want to touch the climax for obvious reasons.

I pray the Almighty to bestow with him greatest lifespan in order to spread his own message of “LOVE ALL”.

CHIRP 2

Rara mayintiDaka -Dr.M.Balamurali Krishna

 Spiritual Part 1:
A “Yagnam” was announced to be conducted on the next day invoking “Varuna” and “Indra” for rains since the monsoon rain failed continuously for three seasons and famine was at its peaks.
Then the next day a small boy came to the spot readily with an UMBRELLA, when others arrived at bare handed.  He answered the fellowmen that incase of the “yagna” being performed purely and truly, on completion, the rain would definitely shower.
Spiritual Part 2:
“Hence forth I won’t take food or drink even water; let me the God if any exist, how he saves my life “an atheist vouched.  He went into the elsewhere thick forest and sat on the top of a tree.
Meanwhile a marriage troupe arrived under the tree, prepared delicious food for lunch.
“All of you pack up and escape. Robbers are approaching fast “a passerby shouted and vanished.    The troupe escaped with wealth leaving behind the rich food.
Soon few men on horseback arrived at the spot with guns and arms.
“There is something fishy and somebody wants to trap us” Seeing the hot food the herdsman of the gang told his fellowmen.
“Let us experiment this issue with a stranger”
“There the culprit” the atheist on the tree was identified. He was made to climb down, eat samples from all the dishes, (which were bellyful of course) at gunpoint, to see that he survives.
Now the atheist understood the power of God and became “Non- atheist”
